I can't help but be fascinated by what ChatGPT can do. And there are definitely people who think it's the end of everything. But like all AI, there are good points and bad points. But I think regardless of your opinion as a teacher, the sky isn't falling but if you don't start to change some of what you do and value in class, you won't be doing your skills any favours. I'm actually not sure what I would do with this but it might fit as some light hearted fun when you introduce Pythagorean Theorem, specifically, if you do something where you start with the area model with squares and expand to other regular shapes like this.

I have done this "trick" with numbers close to 50 before. Regardless, the most important part is that we show why it works and let students know that it's not a trick at all.
