I love the idea of students creating their own review activity. In this case, @MathyCathy has created a Desmos template where students each get a slide (chosen at random) to create a problem and then have to present that problem to the rest of the class. You could probably do this with a slideshow but I think it may work better via a Desmos activity. Get all the details of the logistics of doing this in the blog post

If you are looking for an interesting context where rates are used, check out this episode of @TheIndicator. They are talking about vinyl record sales and at 6:38 they go into the calculation of how long it would take to press 500,000 records. It's just a small calculation but the context is interesting and hopefully will give students insight as to when rates can be used. Check out this podcast and many more math based podcasts.
