I agree. The community on Twitter was great. It was some of the best self directed PD I had experienced. Plus I "met" so many new like minded people (sometimes even in person). It is unfortunate that that platform waned in that capacity. I still post there and look from time to time but I love how the community on Bluesky, although small, is starting to fill that hole.

Because we used to have #mtbos on twitter.
Then Twitter turned into X which turned into a steaming pile of vitriol... and I had to leave. A decent amount of us landed here, and even though it's not the same, it's better than nothing.

The #math community seems to be growing here and becoming more active. I have presented on how to get the most of being in a community like this many times and here are my tips to grow this PLN and make it useful for educators.
