Who is the world's most interesting mathematician? That's what the Great Internet Math Off is trying to find out. Go to the link below to find out who is up for matches this year (and vote as well). Two people who frequently appear on this blog are @SamJShah2 and @MathGarden. Look for their matches and vote for them too.

This is crazy that it's real. It's the Official Trump Vs Democrats poll. It's the perfect example of how to write biased questions. And the poll is still up so you know it's on purpose. You could certainly have a great discussion with any data management students. But just in case they actually look at the validity of the poll and take it down, @Abel_Jennifer has taken screen shots of the whole thing so you will always have it.

What a great way to make fractions auditory.😡 Pretty sure I'm getting ripped off.
I know how many bricks they charged me for but this is what showed up!
1️⃣ What's your guess at the number of bricks here?
2️⃣ What's the fastest way for me to count them up? One by one?#3actmath #iteachmath pic.twitter.com/nW6C8L0TNP— Dan Meyer (@ddmeyer) July 8, 2019

Ok #mtbos #mtboz I just delivered a workshop in a music room so I thought I'd make a little video of what the fraction wall SOUNDS like. Hope you enjoy. Apologies for the poor technique and flat bongos. #whymaths #AAMTConf19 #AAMT2019 pic.twitter.com/qf8onzVerm— Shyam Drury (@MathsXer) July 11, 2019

A wordless self-replication puzzle. (Though someone will no doubt point out to me that I just used words!) As per usual: 1. What do you think the puzzle is? 2. What is your response? pic.twitter.com/iZuaPPRIcP— James Tanton (@jamestanton) July 13, 2019
