I like this activity from @emergentmath. It's about transversals and parallel lines. It starts with a favourite strategy of mine called concept attainment where students see examples and non examples. But the crux of the lesson is a simple activity that relates to a real map of streets. I always appreciate how @MissCacul8 takes a math concept and puts some bling on it. In this case it's her kids doing a project on the unit circle by having to make a representation it. I've always been a fan of Open Middle problems. I think that they give students the licence to be correct with more than one way of doing things.
