I like this post from @MrJohnRowe about focussing on when students "stall" when problem solving or when they don't even start. "We need to do a better job at helping students with “Problem Starting” and be less obsessed with “Problem Solving”. We undoubtedly need to do a better job at normalising not knowing".We were just talking about this at my school. The idea that sometimes when students can't see a way to start right away, it becomes debilitating.

Get the teacher links to these Pi related activities below. I really like how they have treated Buffon's needle.

I love this use of student work that @ddmeyer uses. These are easily grababble using the Snapshot feature in Desmos Classroom

One of the powers is the Desmos Classroom platform is the snapshot tool. @ddmeyer.bsky.social discussing how to get the most out of your students and lessons. Lots of opportunities for this in the ADM curriculum. #iteachmath danmeyer.substack.com

I'm not a big fan of math tricks but I always love how @howie_hua explains how they work. This might be something to do in a beginning algebra course.

It was cool to see this early video of Stephen Wolfram talking about Mathematica

I've been watching several numerical computing videos from the 1980s. Very cool that these are available. Here's Mathematica. #ITeachMath #mtbos youtu.be/MeuCAT5HDh0?...

This is fun if you are dealing with imaginary numbers.

Here is another one of my favorites in this class of pattern. This is related to the truncated squares. #tessellation #iTeachMath #Math #TileFarm #mathart #archimedes
