There are more hits due to Corona. This time it's the OAME conference in May. We had a length discussion at OAME headquarters and given the current conditions we felt that it was best to get ahead of this and let people know.

This is Ontario Math Links and @realJ_Mitchell has been keeping track of the numbers for Ontario. Check out this thread where he is making predictions and posts his @Desmos file. So if you are doing any sort of exponential stuff with your kids (either online or when we get back), you might want to work with this

Here is a pretty cool simulator for how outbreaks spread. It's full of scenarios that start from the simple and move to the complex with sliders that you can play with. Have fun.March 22, 57 days since the first #COVIDー19 case in Ontario.— Jamie Mitchell (@realJ_Mitchell) March 22, 2020
424 total cases in Ontario today, which was under my prediction.
Tomorrow, 485 to 522 cases. Wide spread, suggesting my models are diverging (a good thing if we are truly slowing down). #MTBoS #OntEd #OnPoli https://t.co/sUUkgXJnoV pic.twitter.com/iZCgQf4Mgp

I have been seeing a lot of people posting images of various designs made with pattern blocks. You can have any of your kids (students or children) create their own patterns virtually using the awesome @OnMathies pattern blocks app to do so.
