I like this post from @MrJohnRowe about focussing on when students "stall" when problem solving or when they don't even start. "We need to do a better job at helping students with “Problem Starting” and be less obsessed with “Problem Solving”. We undoubtedly need to do a better job at normalising not knowing".We were just talking about this at my school. The idea that sometimes when students can't see a way to start right away, it becomes debilitating.
