I think it's really important to play around with assessment. Traditional paper and pencil assessment is fine but it's not the only type that is valid. So I love when people post about their little experiments. In this case @Dandersod talks about his first attempt at partner quizzes. Follow the entire thread for all the details.

Resource LinksLoving this. First partner quiz that we’ve done all year. Two groups, one group completed the review assignment, one did not. Partners randomly assigned inside those groups. pic.twitter.com/SHCTcFLMx0— Dan Anderson (@dandersod) May 31, 2019
Do you want your students to model real situations with parabolas. Then this picture taken by a local photographer does the job. And while your at it, just import it into Desmos for analysis. Thanks to Mark Garant for pointing out this one

I have seen many of these Pythagorean relationships with regular figures but I like the way that @giohio animated this version with hexagons. Click on the link in the Tweet to get the full Geogebra file.

Teachers, as soon as our students are introduced to positive and negative numbers, show them how to combine integers. Try these Missing Signs problems well before the chaos of double negatives, "adding the opposite", counters, and integer vectors. Kids will surprise you. pic.twitter.com/gaxZdYWS0H— Math with P. I guess Game of Thrones was a thing. According to this graph, the writers got lazy over the years.
