Recently Desmos has made it so that you could share teacher dashboards so that if you wanted to team teach an activity, you could do it. Now they have finally set things up so that you can actually collaborate on the actual construction of the activity. Though you can't edit the activity at the same time, you can both be working on it.

If you are looking for some nice interactives and full modules on various math topics for your online learning endeavours, you might want to consider Mathigon. It's free and has stuff from gr6-12.

If you like to do bigger problems with your kids, then check out the weekly problems put out from Iowa State University. They might be better for more of the upper grades but you can still find some that might be good for your stronger kids in lower grades.

There is no secret of my love of Desmos so I'll start with couple of announcements. One is a new activity and the other is an opportunity. First, the new activity about scientific notation. It's a relatively short activity but it has nice visuals and has some student choice involved.

Secondly, if you like Desmos and find yourself often talking to other teachers about it, then Desmos wants you. They are looking for experienced teachers to help spread the word and present workshops about Desmos. If you want to become a Desmos Certified Presenter, then click the link below.

I like this activity from @emergentmath. It's about transversals and parallel lines. It starts with a favourite strategy of mine called concept attainment where students see examples and non examples. But the crux of the lesson is a simple activity that relates to a real map of streets. We could probably all do a similar activity using a screenshot of the streets in our own town.

I always appreciate how @MissCacul8 takes a math concept and puts some bling on it. In this case it's her kids doing a project on the unit circle by having to make a representation it. It seems simple enough but click on the link and see what her kids did. So many pies and cakes.

I've always been a fan of Open Middle problems. I think that they give students the licence to be correct with more than one way of doing things. And you can certainly get some open middle problems at the https://www.openmiddle.com/ but now @RobertKaplinski now has released the Open Middle book. This has all the info you need to get started and learn how to facilitate those types of questions.
