I have always liked row games as a way to have a more interactive worksheet. The idea is that you have two columns of questions and you pair students up. Each student chooses a column and does all the questions in that column. They check their answers by seeing if they get the same value for their questions that are in the same row (even though they are different questions). They take some time and planning to create so it's always great when someone makes one (or some). Here are some that I've made.

I'm a big fan of @DesmosClassroom and have made my fair share of activities. However, for Ontario teachers I have compiled a list of Desmos activities (mostly made by Desmos but some by me and others) that match the expectations for Ontario Gr 7-12 math curriculum. I did this a while ago but just recently finally put together 70 activities that hit most of the MTH1W. curriculum. So, you can find all of these activities at the page listed below. Note that the idea here is that you wouldn't do all of these activities as there is much overlap but pick and choose things that resonate with you.

I know that Henri has suggested that his post where he speaks of going full force with technology as "controversial", but I think maybe just for traditionalists. There are whole banks of math teachers that think that math is just about solving equations but I like these two quotes to give you a sense of where he is going: "Many math educators consider the solving of linear equations to be the heart of algebra. The topic is often introduced early, atomized into many special cases (one-step, two-step, etc.), and the subject of endless mind-numbing practice. For many students, this carries little meaning, other than “I’m supposed to get x by itself”" and "But note that of all the conceivable equations, only linear and quadratic equations can be solved with paper and pencil. If exponential, trigonometric, or logarithmic expressions are involved, Algebra 1 techniques are useless." Check it out yourself here
