It's exam season here in Ontario and other locations that have semestered schools. So it's good to have ideas on how to do meaningful reviews in math class.

I posted about this when it first came out but I still love the idea of students creating their own review activity and it being exam season, it seams relevant to point to it again.

I'm a big fan of @DesmosClassroom and have made my fair share of activities. However, for Ontario teachers I have compiled a list of Desmos activities (mostly made by Desmos but some by me and others) that match the expectations for Ontario Gr 7-12 math curriculum. I did this a while ago but just recently finally put together 70 activities that hit most of the MTH1W. curriculum. So, you can find all of these activities at the page listed below. Note that the idea here is that you wouldn't do all of these activities as there is much overlap but pick and choose things that resonate with you.

I love when TV shows get the math right. And with Futurama, as with the Simpsons, many of the writers had math and science degrees. So with this episode Fry has less than a dollar in his account before he wakes up a 1000 years later and by the miracles of compound interest is a billionaire. Have your kids work the math out with the details from the clip, they work out.
