I really like this opinion piece from @MathforLove. In it he talks about the idea that everyone can do math. There he says: "...everyone has the capacity to learn the foundational mathematics that allow them to understand and participate in our world” and lays out these three points of his thesis:

1. Everyone is capable of mathematical literacy.
2. Everyone deserves to see some beautiful ideas of mathematics.
3. A great mathematician can come from anywhere.
