If you are looking for an interesting context where rates are used, check out this episode of @TheIndicator. They are talking about vinyl record sales and at 6:38 they go into the calculation of how long it would take to press 500,000 records. It's just a small calculation but the context is interesting and hopefully will give students insight as to when rates can be used. Check out this podcast and many more math based podcasts.
