I definitely agree with @Howie_Hua here. But mostly because I think that grading students with percents gives a false sense of precision. Just because we can calculate to the nearest percent (or fraction of a percent) doesn't mean it's accurate. Ask yourself whether you can articulated the difference between a student with an 80% and an 85%. This is really a longer rant but my point is that I don't think that over all (or even on any particular question) we can't realistically expect to measure grades any more accurately than plus or minus 5%.
